Biography of Gulnara Karimova
Gulnara Karimova, the daughter of Uzbekistan's President Islam Karimov, was born on July 8, , in Fergana.
She began her career as a trainee lecturer at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy in Uzbekistan. In September , she became the Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan to the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva.
In February , she was appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs responsible for cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
