Naoko Yamazaki (山崎 直子, Yamazaki Naoko, born December 27, 1970) is a Japanese engineer and former astronaut at JAXA.
She was the second Japanese woman to fly in space.[2][3][4] The first was Chiaki Mukai.[3]
Early life
Yamazaki was born Naoko Sumino in Matsudo City.
